Hello guys, I’m interested in what other resources do you people go to when you are at an intermediate level. As much as I love the high quality videos on this website the intermediate level content isn’t enough to get 600 hours in to advance to the next level, what resources do you people use which is in an intermediate level? I would really appreciate it if you can share your experience and knowledge on the subject!
The CIJ team put together an amazing list of outside resources here if you haven’t seen it! Comprehensible Japanese (you’ll see it if you click on the blue menu button at the top of the site, too). They’ve sorted them by level and type of input for us. I’m still at the beginner level but I’ve personally been supplementing CIJ with listening to Nihongo con Teppei for Beginners (podcast), and reading Meika先生’s blog for extra beginner reading practice. Since you’re looking for intermediate outside content, Teppei先生 also has multiple intermediate podcasts with tons of episodes available. I’ve also listened to a bit of “Learn Japanese with Teppei and Noriko.” Everyone’s preferences are different though of course, so it’s really helpful that we have such a good list of resources to check out and choose from. I’m sure you’ll be able to find plenty of content for your level on the list!
If we are talking intermediate level here, you could try to go to Learn Natively and start mixing in some easier content. That is what I am planning to do once I am at that level.
