I enjoy the videos that explain a folk or children’s tale, so perhaps an extension of that could be a series of videos where you read through a story book and break down the meaning of each paragraph as you go along would be good. 不思議の国のアリス might be a good reading candidate.
Also I enjoy the Father & Son series a lot, perhaps another series similar to it but following a longer form narrative than 4 panels. Maybe you could read a children’s manga but I’m not sure if there are any in the public domain.
