Only learnt about CJ last month . The material is interesting and I enjoy watching the videos, which I can feel that they are carefully prepared.
I plan to really study Japanese in 2026 and finding CJ should give me a solid preparation.
Hi! I’ve found the CJ content very helpful. I combine it with the Scriptorium method of Alexander Arguelles (see Youtube) and have found my comprehension slowly but steadily improving. What are you planning to do when you come to really study Japanese?
I plan to live in Japan, therefore learning Japanese is a necessity.
That’s cool. I hope it works out for you.
This is a very underrated strategy I did a lot early on! I should start doing scriptorium again as it’s such a powerful tool.
I regard it as one of the pillars of my language study journey now. I’m also using the shadowing method - I’ve started doing scriptorium for one CJ video then shadowing my playlist until I hit my daily 30 minutes on the new website. I run through my Anki and Wanikani reviews, then move to another language. My primary focus right now is ploughing through intermediate Latin (also with scriptorium, and extensive reading) but eventually I’ll up my Japanese study time.
