I’m Jon-san, you can call me 花ちゃん I have been learning Japanese for about 6-7 mos.
My goals are to be able to make Japanese friends and to experience the side of japan that only locals know about, whether this is in the country or the city I am a huge lover of Japanese culture and aesthetic.
I love Ghibli movies, Haruki Murakami, Yukio Mishima. I like J-rock like Sakanaction and Gesu no Kiwami Otome.
I love the Japanese focus on quality and I’m interested in learning more about the terms Ikigai and Takumi from a Japanese perspective.
This year I want to be able to watch full seasons of animes like Neon Genesis Evangelion with at least 60-70% comprehension without Engish, and to listen to the bands I mentioned and be able to follow along with the lyrics.
I also plan to visit Japan this year and want to be able to hold a 5-minute basic conversation, and be able to passively listen and learn while in the city!
